Carter Hart is not scheduled to play in the Continental Hockey League next season. That's the conclusion Philadelphia Hockey Now's Jonathan Bailey reached after considering the facts of the Carter Hart situation.
Hart, 25, went on personal leave on Jan. 23 and was charged a week later with one count of sexual assault. Hart has been away from the team ever since. The charges have not been proven in court and a trial is not expected until 2025.
Bailey explains the KHL rumors and explains Hart's future contract status. Hart will become a restricted free agent on July 1, and will become an unrestricted free agent unless the Philadelphia Flyers make a qualifying offer.

red wings offseason
The Red Wings' primary team, the Grand Rapids Griffins, will face the Rockford IceHogs in Game 3 of the Central Regional semifinals at Van Andel Arena on Friday at 7 p.m. The IceHogs are the Chicago Blackhawks' top affiliate team. The Griffins had a lackluster 5-1 loss to Rockford on Wednesday. “This is a wake-up call for us,” coach Dan Watson said. “The good thing is that the two home games put us in the top two out of three. That's good news. The bad news is we have to compete harder and prepare for Game 3.'' It means not.”
