After a brief and unsuccessful stint in WWE, Gable Stevenson is looking for his next career move.
Stevenson is considering his options after his run with WWE ended earlier this month. His manager recently told Ariel Helwani that the Tokyo 2020 Olympic freestyle wrestling gold medalist is training for MMA and is in talks with NFL teams.
Helwani read a statement from Stevenson's manager on Wednesday's episode of The MMA Hour.

“Gable Stevenson is extremely grateful for the opportunity he has had in WWE and would like to thank everyone in the organization who helped him get there,” the statement began. “He would also like to thank the fans who have supported him throughout his professional wrestling career.” Now, Gable is ready to resume competing against elite-level competition and will share his thoughts with you all in the near future. We look forward to sharing the big news.”
The statement also claimed that Stevenson is training with coach Henri Hoeft at Kill Cliff FC, a prominent Florida-based gym, and is in talks with football teams.
“Multiple NFL teams have contacted Gable Stevenson,” Helwani said in a statement. “He also trains with Henri Hooft and Robbie Lawlor at Kilcliffe FC.”
Stevenson signed a WWE contract in 2021 and was looking to parlay his freestyle wrestling career into the squared circle. He had a brief appearance in NXT last year, including a six-minute match against Baron Corbin at The Great American Bash 2023. He competed in five non-TV matches at SmackDown tapings earlier this year before leaving the promotion last week.
