Some of the best prospects in the 2024 NBA Draft will reportedly be in attendance at the event in person.
ESPN's Jonathan Givony revealed the list of prospects who received Green Room invites to attend Tuesday's draft, including two potential No. 1 picks, Zachary Lisacher and Alex Sarr, as well as Connecticut's Donovan Clingan and Stephon Castle.
The list is as follows:
- Zachary Lisacher, JL Boer
- Alex Searle, Perth
- Donovan Clingan, University of Connecticut
- Reed Shepherd, Kentucky
- Matas Buzelis, G League Ignite
- Stephen Castle, University of Connecticut
- Dalton Knecht, Tennessee
- Ron Holland, G League Ignite
- Cody Williams, Colorado
- Devin Carter, Providence
- Jacob Walter, Baylor University
- Tijan Saran, Cholet
Kentucky's Rob Dillingham is also likely to be added to the list, but he still needs to meet certain criteria.
Givony He explained that he will fulfill those requirements by taking shooting drills and athletic testing at the Los Angeles Lakers' practice facility on Friday and completing the remainder of his NBA Scouting Combine activities.
He previously missed a game with an ankle injury.
While Dillingham is a familiar name to college basketball fans along with Clingan, Castle, Knecht and Sheppard, it appears the No. 1 pick will be chosen from the international game.
Bleacher Report's Jonathan Wasserman projected Lisacher to be the No. 1 pick in his latest mock draft, with Sarr as the No. 2 pick and Shepard as the first college player to be selected by the Houston Rockets with the No. 3 pick.
The Atlanta Hawks have the No. 1 pick, and Wasserman believes Lisacher's off-ball shot-making and transition ability make him a player who can play alongside Trae Young and Dejounte Murray.
“In the absence of any obvious, surefire All-Stars at the top of the draft, Lisacher's depth and valuable three-and-defense prototype could give him an edge on a team that's seen AJ Griffin struggle with injuries and Saddiq Bey go down late with a torn ACL,” Wasserman wrote.
Atlanta has not advanced beyond the first round of the playoffs since the 2020-21 season, so all eyes will be on them this offseason as they potentially decide to make significant changes via trades or free agency.
But for now, both Young and Murray are still on the roster, and the Warriors may need a taller forward like Lisa or Sarr to play elsewhere on the court.
Both will be in attendance to see their names called with the No. 1 pick.
