George, a Year 7 student at Wood Green School in Witney, began his martial arts journey at the age of seven, training at Oxford Sport and Traditional Martial Arts (OSTMA) under the guidance of Sensei Sam.
George's strict plan includes training three to five times a week.
Her competitive spirit led her to participate in a national tournament two years ago, and she made her international debut at the Liege International Open in Belgium last October.
As well as representing OSTMA, George was also selected for the South West England regional karate team.
In 2023, George won an impressive medal to be proud of.
He won a bronze medal at the Liege Indoor Open and gold medals at the E-1 Series in London and the Elite International Open Harrow.
He didn't stop there, winning bronze at the South of England Karate Open and taking top spot for boys in the 10-11 age category when representing South West England in the 'Year of the Year Showdown' against other regions. I jumped out.
Although 2024 is still underway, George's winning streak shows no signs of slowing down, adding more awards to his already impressive record.
He won a gold medal at the Murayama Cup XV, a bronze medal at the EKF Class Nationals, a gold medal at the Orléans International Open in France, and a silver medal at the EKF National Championships, his first tournament in the 12-13 year old division.
Two weeks after turning 12, George reached a notable milestone: he was invited to trial with the England national karate team. This approval applied only to applicants over the age of 12.
His first session is scheduled for May 5th in Wolverhampton.
As his parents are proud to say, George is a fiercely dedicated and determined young man.
All success stories often come with challenges, such as self-financing the sport, which includes cumulative costs such as competition, flights, travel, accommodation, equipment, and entry fees.

As George's sports career progresses to the next level, financial constraints loom.
To combat this, his family has set up a GoFundMe page and hopes that with sponsorship and support, George can continue to participate in the competitions he needs to participate in to succeed in the sport.
In line with his long-term ambitions, George hopes to compete in the Olympics and represent England at the Commonwealth Games.
Caroline Pearce said: “As his parents we are extremely proud that George has been asked to try out for England.
“He is a determined and dedicated young boy and we are confident he will achieve his goals.
“George's overall aim is to qualify for the Olympics and represent England at the Commonwealth Games.”
