National championship bronze medallist Abhimanyu Roura showed a never-give-up attitude to outdo Bulgaria's Christian Nikolov in a thrilling first round in the 80kg category at the second world boxing qualifier for the Paris Olympics in Bangkok on Saturday.
Lola got off to a slow start as the 10-time Bulgarian national champion took the lead in the opening round.
However, the 21-year-old Indian quickly switched gears and went on the offensive in the second round, with four out of the five judges voting in his favour and earning him bragging rights in that round.

The Indian player continued to land ferocious punches in the third and final rounds as well, eventually winning 3-0 and ensuring two wins from two matches for the Indian team in Bangkok.
Earlier, Sachin Siwach defeated New Zealand's Alex Mukuka in the 57kg category on Friday to give India its first victory.
India has fielded seven men and three women for the second World Qualifier with Avinash Jamwal (63.5kg) and Nishant Dev (71kg) stepping into the ring for the first time on Sunday.
Jamwal will face Lithuania's Andrieus Labrenovas in his first match while Nishant will take on Guinea-Bissau's Amando Bigafa.
Nikhat Zareen (50kg), Preeti (54kg) and Lovlina Borgohain (75kg) have already qualified for the Paris Games after their performances at the Asian Games.
