With Mike Tyson experiencing health scares and the fight being postponed from July 20th to November 15th, Jake Paul ended up training for Tyson for a few more months.
But come November 16th, another superstar will be next in line to face the YouTuber-turned-boxer.
That superstar is women's boxing champion Claressa Shields.

She is confident she will have no problems with the 27-year-old “problem boy.”
“If Jake Paul wants to fight me, I'm always open to it,” Shields told TMZ Sports this week. “I don't think he's that good a boxer.”
“I would never say or feel that Jake Paul could beat me in a boxing match because he can't.”
Shields said Paul once “tried to kick him.” [her] when [she] Shields said Paul called her a “loser” after she lost a split decision in her MMA debut.
“You can't call me a loser just because I'm not better at boxing,” Shields added. “And I'm not better at mixed martial arts. I'm not better at anything.”

Shields praised Paul for boosting the popularity of fellow female fighter Amanda Serrano, who will face Katie Taylor, who competed in the arena's first-ever female main event at Madison Square Garden in 2022, on the undercard of the Paul-Tyson fight.
The 29-year-old Shields is 14-0 and holds the WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO, WBF and The Ring women's middleweight titles.
Paul is 9-1 with six knockouts in his professional career, with his last two wins both coming by first-round knockout.

He lost a split decision to Tommy Fury in 2023. Tyson hasn't competed in an official bout since a TKO loss to Kevin McBride in 2005. He competed in an exhibition bout against Roy Jones Jr. in July 2020.
