Tyson Fury has revealed he has no plans to continue boxing beyond 2029 as the heavyweight division prepares for the next generation.
The Gypsy King lost his undefeated title to Oleksandr Usyk in devastating fashion last week in a heavyweight unification bout.
The Ukrainian fighter came close to knocking out Fury in the ninth round, but ultimately won by split points decision.
Fury's loss raises questions about his own future in the sport and whether he has the desire to continue.
The scheduled rematch with Usyk is expected to take place later this year as Fury tries to bounce back to become world champion once again.
Fury will be 36 by the time he faces Usyk again and has considered retiring from boxing in the past.
He announced in 2022 that he intended to hang up his gloves on his 34th birthday, but then made a sudden U-turn and returned to the ring immediately.
Fury is expected to stick around for at least a few more years, with a long-awaited fight with Anthony Joshua potentially being scheduled for 2025.
However, the former WBC heavyweight champion has no intention of continuing to fight much longer.
“I can't imagine staying for the next five years, let alone 20,” Fury said.
“I’ve given so much to this game, my whole youth, teenage and young adult life.
“I need time to be my true self.

“I need time to enjoy all the things I've achieved, the accolades I've received, the money I've made.
“Life is short, isn't it? We may be here today and we'll be gone tomorrow.”
If Fury eventually retires from boxing, there will be a big hole in the heavyweight division as Usyk and Joshua are also similar in age.
