There is less than a week until the 2024 Olympic Games begin. The opening ceremony is scheduled for July 26th, but there are several events planned before then.

When is the first Olympic event in 2024?
The Olympics will kick off with two soccer matches on Wednesday, July 24 at 9 a.m. ET. The matches will feature Uzbekistan and Spain, representing Group C, and Argentina and Morocco, representing Group B.

Rugby Sevens pool play will begin at 9:30am ET on July 24th and run until 3:30pm ET.
Football and rugby sevens are the only Olympic sports to be held on 24 July.
