The Westfield Youth Hockey organization taught Greater Springfield Hockey League opponents the ABCs of Bomber hockey. Three Westfield 10U clubs, the “A” Team, “B” Team, and “C” Team won their respective Greater Springfield Hockey League Championships on March 10 at the Olympia Ice Center.

Greater Springfield Hockey League
Barbara Wright 10U Championship
Westfield 3, Springfield 1
WEST SPRINGFIELD – Westfield's “Squirt B” scored in all three periods of the Greater Springfield Hockey League's Barbara Wright 10U Finals on March 10 at Olympia in West Springfield. , defeated the Springfield Yellow Jackets 3-1. The Junior Bombers posted a 28-9-4 record over the season, including independent games and tournaments.
The line of Theodore Ferron, Nolan St. Lawrence and Harrison Jasinski produced two goals, with Jasinski leading the way with two points. Colton Lowe scored Westfield's other goal.
“Low's goal was a great individual effort,” Westfield head coach Dave St. Lawrence said.
St. Lawrence also noted that the offensive line of Landon Nawalski, Quentin Laborde and Daley Brady also played outstanding.
Westfield goaltender Sebastian Valentine stood on his head and stopped all but one shot. The defensive core of Miles Blood, Caleb Gallagher, Jackson Valentine and Aoife Kons proved rock solid.
East 10U Championship
Westfield 6, Holy Name 1
WEST SPRINGFIELD – It was truly a team effort for Westfield's “Squirt C” hockey team to win one trophy.
Westfield defeated Holy Name 6-1 behind goals from five different players to win the Greater Springfield League 10U East Championship on March 10 at Olympia Ice Center in West Springfield.
It was a near-perfect record for Westfield, which had a 20-1-1 record in the regular season.
“The whole season was about getting better,” Westfield Squirt C coach Jim Blascak said, noting that the team spent the first 30 minutes of practice focusing solely on skating. “Winning the game was just a bonus.”
