Eight-time national amateur champion Madoka Wada (2-0, 2 KOs) at 104.5 pounds won the vacant OPBF women's minimumweight belt in a stunning victory over Jutatip Sitichen (6-2, 4 KOs) of Thailand at 104.25 pounds in 1 minute, 19 seconds of the second round of their eight-bout bout in Tokyo on Friday. A tall, upright southpaw, Wada dominated her rival from the start, knocking her down twice before the referee's intervention. With an amateur record of 58-10, the 29-year-old Wada looked very talented and had a promising future. The JBC allowed Wada to fight for the regional belt in her second pro bout, which is very rare but acceptable given her outstanding amateur track record.
In the main event, hard-hitting Chaoz Minowa (9-4, 7 KOs) 114.5 lbs. defeated former WBO World Junior Bantamweight Champion Tomoko Okuda (8-6-2, 2 KOs) 115 lbs. with one punch in 1 minute 43 seconds of the opening session of a scheduled eight-round bout to win the vacant WBO Asia Pacific Women's Super Flyweight belt. Okuda took the WBO 115 lbs. title from WBO 115 lbs. champion Miyo Yoshida in 2020, but will cede the belt to Yoshida in a rematch next year. Yoshida has campaigned in the United States, where she defeated Evany Bridges to win the IBF bantamweight belt in San Francisco last December.
