Athletes from Victory Martial Arts Academy represented Full Contact Martial Arts (FCMA KZN) at the FCMA SA Tournament in Kempton Park, Gauteng over the weekend.
These athletes competed in their age and weight categories and excelled in a variety of events. Former Protea athlete Dr Devan Kumarasami was one of the coaches who led the FCMA KZN team to victory in the FCMA SA Tournament.
Mr. Rodney Govender and Mr. Navin Jagala were the 'A' class referees and performed their duties extremely well. The players also excelled in their development in a variety of ways and were praised for their outstanding efforts.

Former Proteas athlete and coach Renshi Vijay Govender was extremely proud of the Victory Academy of Martial Arts players who gave their all.
She said, “The hard work, sacrifice, dedication, and perseverance of the athletes, coaches, and instructors led to their success. Sensei Navin Jagalas and Sensei Abigail Govender have contributed to their consistent excellence on the past two FCMA National Teams. He has already been included in the SA team due to his performance.”
Renshi Govender is awaiting the full team list for the SA team scheduled to travel to Spain for the World Martial Arts Tournament (WMO) in November.
