NEW YORK, June 10, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — On Monday, June 10, the Verizon Fordham Road store in the Bronx will host the next event in the company's “Connected by Culture” series, which will serve as both a career and networking event and a celebration of the company's ongoing commitment to local communities, workforce development, small business and digital inclusion.
On June 10, from 2:30-5:30 p.m., the Verizon retail store at 257 E. Fordham Road in the Bronx will host a panel discussion featuring some of the city's top leaders. Attendees will have the opportunity to discuss open positions with local Verizon recruiters and take part in complimentary headshot shoots with a professional photographer, fostering networking opportunities and highlighting Verizon's ongoing efforts to strengthen the community.
The panel included leaders from the Latino and Black communities, including Chair Lisa Sorin; Bronx Chamber of CommercePaloma Izquild Hernandez, President and CEO Urban Health Planning; Rocky Bucano, CEO Universal Hip Hop Museum; and Managing Director Debbie Roman Per Schouler, New York Participation plan.
