SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Hockey Club's first game has been decided.
Salt Lake City's first-year NHL team announced its preseason schedule Thursday, playing two games in Utah and six out of state.
On Sunday, September 22nd, Utah will travel to Des Moines, Iowa to play the St. Louis Blues in a preseason game for the first time in franchise history.
Utah's first home game, and only preseason game at the Delta Center, will be the following day against the Los Angeles Kings.
The game will replace the Frozen Fury that was scheduled between the Kings and Vegas Golden Knights. Frozen Fury ticket holders will be able to purchase a limited number of tickets to Utah's preseason game before they go on sale to the general public.
Utah will then travel to play the Golden Knights, Colorado Avalanche, San Jose Sharks and Anaheim Ducks.
The hockey club's preseason schedule will conclude with a game against the Avalanche at the Maverick Center in Utah on Oct. 5. A team spokesman said the game will be played at West Valley City Arena due to a game already scheduled at the Delta Center.
