The U.S. women's national team will play Mexico on July 13 at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey, in the penultimate game before departing for the 2024 Paris Olympics, U.S. Soccer announced Friday.
The game against Mexico is expected to be the third time in charge for incoming manager Emma Hayes, who will finish the season on the sidelines at Chelsea, where she has been head coach since 2012.

Mexico defeated the United States 2-0 in the group stage of the Concaf World Gold Cup last month, the second win in 43 meetings between the teams.
The United States defeated Brazil 1-0 in the final on March 10, making a comeback toward winning the Gold Cup.
The Americans are scheduled to play one more home game after the July 13 game, but the exact date, venue and opponent have not yet been announced.
They begin their Olympic campaign on July 25 in Nice, France against either Morocco or Zambia, followed by group games against Germany and Australia.
The United States won four of the first five Olympic gold medals in women's soccer, but hasn't been to the top of the podium since 2012, winning bronze at the 2021 Tokyo Games.
Last year, they lost to Sweden on penalties in the round of 16, their worst result in World Cup history.
At the July 13 game at Red Bull Arena, U.S. Soccer will honor the 1999 World Cup champions with a pregame celebration and reunion of the team's players. This summer marks the 25th anniversary of the United States winning the World Cup on home soil, the second of the past four World Cup victories.
“It will be a fun and inspirational weekend,” U.S. Soccer President Cindy Parlow Cohn, who played on the 1999 Women's World Cup team, said in a statement.
“Fans can celebrate the 1999 Women's World Cup team while showing their support for the team before heading to France. “After 25 years, that feeling is still felt, especially as we compete in the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup. I can't wait to see my teammates and friends.”
The United States and Mexico are jointly running for the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup. FIFA is expected to decide on May 17 between a bid from Brazil and a joint bid from Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands.
There are six games remaining on the U.S. schedule for the 2024 Olympics: two games in the She Believes Cup next month, and a friendly against South Korea in June, expected to be Hayes' first game in charge. ) against Mexico, and a send-off match in late July.
