Just days after the shock of losing two five-star 2025 prospects, USC's best football recruit is heading out on the road: Five-star quarterback Julian Lewis will visit Colorado this weekend with Deion Sanders.
This marks Lewis' third visit to the Buffaloes and signals strong interest in the program from the quarterback from Carrollton, Georgia. Lewis was originally ranked as the No. 1 signal caller in the 2026 cycle but decided to reclassify to 2025.
The quarterback, who committed to USC last August, also visited Auburn University, where the school “tried to make a lasting impression,” according to Buffs Beat.
The news of Lewis' visit to Colorado comes after USC suffered the decommissioning of five-star defensive linemen Justus Terry and Isaiah Gibson, two notable losses for coach Lincoln Riley.
Terry's loss appears to be permanent, as recruiting services currently project him to sign with Georgia.
But Lewis said he's still affiliated with USC.
“Everything remains the same,” he told Rivals. “I've been in this business for a long time and I'm not going to change that at this point.”

Lewis is widely regarded as a five-star quarterback in the 2025 class, ranked as the No. 3 player out of the state of Georgia, the No. 2 playmaker in the country and the No. 10 overall player, according to the average rankings of the top four national recruiting services.
Rivals and ESPN both call Lewis the No. 1 quarterback and overall player in the nation.
Lewis is rated as the No. 3 quarterback and No. 16 player by the 247Sports Composite and the No. 4 quarterback and No. 23 player by On3 Sports.
During his high school career, Lewis completed 65.9 percent of his passes for 7,212 yards, 96 touchdowns and 14 interceptions, according to MaxPreps.
A year ago, he threw 48 touchdowns and just two interceptions as a sophomore.
As of now, he plans to remain enrolled at USC, but with Coach Prime trying to change his mind, it's up to the school to decide whether that stays the course.
