21. Missouri Tigers
247 Sports Post-Spring Rankings: 8th place
The Tigers got a ton of production back after losing Doak Walker Award finalist Cody Schrader out of the backfield and filling that hole through the portal. Having to unexpectedly replace defensive coordinator Blake Baker, who transferred to Louisiana State, was a headache. Eli Drinkwitz may not have been all that prepared this spring. Missouri has two former five-star players on the roster in wide receiver Luther Burden and freshman Williams Nwaneri and returns as a starter in quarterback Brady Cook, who is coming off a statistically notable season and filled some major needs with a transfer market signing.
22. NC State Wolfpack
247 Sports Post-Spring Rankings: No. 22
With a top-tier transfer portal class in the ACC that includes Coastal Carolina quarterback Grayson McCall, Oklahoma tailback Hollywood Smothers and the addition of Ohio State pass-catching Noah Rodgers, there's reason to believe NC State can surpass nine wins this season under Doeren. Matchups against Tennessee and Clemson in September will give the college football world a clear picture of how much the Wolfpack has, or hasn't, improved.
23. Kansas Jayhawks
247 Sports Post-Spring Rankings: no
With Jaron Daniels returning at quarterback, Kansas could build on a strong first half of the 2024 season and enter the final stretch with a chance to win the newly formed Big 12 Conference.
24. Miami Hurricanes
247 Sports Post-Spring Rankings: No. 14
Mario Cristobal's work in the transfer portal isn't done yet. He continues to add to Miami's most solid roster in years. Key additions up front and at the skill positions, including Washington State quarterback Cam Ward, have made the Hurricanes one of the ACC's hottest prospects this offseason. There's no reason Miami can't be in the top 15 going into November, but they still have some proof to prove.
25. Nebraska Huskers
247 Sports Post-Spring Rankings: no
Coach Matt Rhule has yet to announce a starting quarterback, but there are indications the Huskers will hand the reins to five-star recruit Dylan Raiola after a strong spring.
