COLUMBIA — The SEC announced Monday that Alex “Boogie” Huntley, Luke Doty and Debo Williams will represent the South Carolina football team at the 2024 SEC Media Days at the Omni Dallas Hotel in Dallas.
Coach Shane Beamer and his players are scheduled to meet with the media on June 15, the first day of the four-day tournament.
Lanoris Sellers, who was named the starting quarterback by Coach Beamer after the conclusion of spring practice, was not selected.
Not only does Coach Beamer have a new quarterback, but the Gamecocks also lost their top target wide receiver, star running back and solid tight end, leaving them with a lot of unknowns entering 2024. Coach Beamer likely used three of his most veteran players, including two who began their careers at South Carolina.
Doty, a redshirt senior, has split time between quarterback, wide receiver and special teams. Doty has been with the Gamecocks his entire collegiate career and played in 12 games last season. He was the 2024 Spirit Award winner for the spring season. Doty is an experienced player who has been nurtured by Beamer and his staff.
Huntley, a defensive tackle, brings plenty of experience, having played in at least one Gamecocks game each of the past four seasons and is a two-time Spirit Award winner.

Linebacker Debo Williams is a key part of the defense and spent three years with the Gamecocks after starting his career in his native Delaware and was named a captain in 2023.
