The home-home series between the Georgia Bulldogs and UCLA has been canceled by agreement between the two universities.
The Georgia Bulldogs and UCLA Bruins have agreed to cancel their regular season matchups scheduled for Week 1 of the 2025 and 2026 college football seasons. The decision by both schools to cancel the games comes due to major changes in the college football landscape over the past few seasons.
The Dawgs were originally scheduled to travel to Pasadena to open the season against the Bruins in 2025, then return to Athens to take on UCLA in 2026. With those games canceled, the University of Georgia announced that the 2025 season opener will be against Marshall University. The school has yet to announce a replacement game for the 2026 season.
The news came as a huge disappointment to many University of Georgia fans who were looking forward to traveling to California to see the Duggs play. The University of Georgia and California's recent history has also been very fruitful, with the Bulldogs' last game in the state being the team's historic win over TCU in the 2023 national championship game.
Unfortunately, the college football sports landscape is constantly changing, and it's highly unlikely the Bulldogs and Bruins will meet in a regular season game anytime soon.
