It will be the first time the former Southland Conference opponents have faced off since 2001. ULM first met in 1988 and holds a 6-2 lead in the series. The Warhawks are 5-1 against the Bearkats inside Malone Stadium and 1-1 in Huntsville.
For ULM, a home-and-home series against Sam Houston is the latest addition to the Warhawks' list of future non-conference opponents. ULM is scheduled to play Jackson State and UAB in Monroe, then play Power 5 opponents in Texas and Auburn. In 2025, the Warhawks will travel to Tuscaloosa to face Alabama State on September 6th. The 2026 schedule includes road games at Mississippi State and UAB before ULM hosts Southeastern Louisiana. The Warhawks will play in Texas in 2029, with a home-and-home series scheduled against Louisiana Tech in the 2030 and 2031 seasons.
