Westin Wilson's grappling prowess was on full display in his fight against Jeka Zaragi at UFC on ESPN 58, winning in less than two minutes.
Saraghi (14-4 MMA, 1-2 UFC) lunged at his opponent early in their featherweight bout at UFC Apex, but it cost him the fight. Wilson (17-9 MMA, 1-2 UFC) tangled Saraghi on the mat and applied a triangle choke. Saraghi attempted a slam attack, then transitioned into a triangle choke/armbar combination to force the tap at 1:49 of the first round.
It was the 12th finish in UFC history via arm triangle, according to the broadcast of UFC on ESPN 58. Check out the replay below (via X)
After his win, Wilson celebrated and tried to jump into the arms of in-cage interviewer Michael Bisping, but failed, before discussing his plans for his next fight.
“I feel great,” Wilson said in his post-fight interview with Bisping. “I want a Topps rookie card and a fight at UFC Salt Lake City. That's what I want. Let's go.”
