Jacqueline Amorim made quick work of Cory McKenna on Saturday at UFC Fight Night 239, despite some confusion during the submission.
IBJJF Champion Amorim (7-1 MMA, 1-1 MMA) UFC) picked up another submission when he performed an armbar on McKenna (8-2 MMA, 3-1 MMA) UFC) Tap at 1:38 of round 1.
The match was short, but Amorim landed two deep submissions in the same sequence. Before the match was officially called off, Mike Beltran initially shouted “stop” as McKenna yelled profanity during an attempted armbar attack, but then changed his mind and told his fighters to continue.
Amorim adjusted, rotated and got deeper torque – and taps (via) X):
Amorim, 28, has been on a winning streak since losing to Sam Hughes in his promotional debut. McKenna, 24, has had a two-fight winning streak come to an end.
