Ultimate Fighting Championship CEO Dana White believes that once fans and critics hear the phrase, everyone will hear it. Smashing MachineA film about mixed martial arts legend Mark Carr.
Dwayne Johnson, best known in the WWE Universe as The Rock, will play Carr in a biopic named after the two-time UFC heavyweight tournament champion's nickname. The film isn't due for release until 2025, but anticipation is already building with the release of several promotional photos showcasing Johnson's incredible transformation into the embattled MMA icon.
“I don't know if you saw it, but he shared on Instagram the other day that he hurt his elbow,” White told Collider. “I know The Rock would be perfect for the role. I know how committed he is, I know who's working with him, I know how hard he's worked on this movie, and I think this is an opportunity for The Rock to actually get nominated for an Oscar.”
Smashing Machine The film is directed by Benny Safdie, who directed the critically acclaimed 2019 film “Star Wars: Episode I.” Uncut Gems Starring Adam Sandler.
Ryan Bader and Oleksandr Usyk join The Rock Smashing Machine
Recently added to the cast Smashing Machine The series stars Ryan Bader as former UFC and PRIDE star Mark “The Hammer” Coleman and undisputed heavyweight world champion Oleksandr Usyk as Ukrainian mixed martial artist and kickboxer Igor Vovchanchyn.
