The Octagon returns to New Jersey for tonight's UFC Atlantic City event, with a 14-fight card headlined by Erin Blanchfield vs. Manon Fiorotto.
Blanchfield (12-1 MMA) enters this contest on a nine-fight winning streak, her most recent being a unanimous decision victory over Tyra Santos. Before that, “Cold Blood” recorded his third consecutive submission win, in which he finished JJ Aldrich, Molly McCann, and Jessica Andrade.
Meanwhile, Manon Fiorotto (11-1 mixed martial arts) last competed in September last year at UFC Paris, where she earned a unanimous decision victory over Rose Namajunas. The win marks 11 straight wins for the French standout, with six of those 11 wins coming under the UFC banner.
UFC Atlantic City will be co-headlined by a welterweight bout pitting Vicente Luque against Joaquin Buckley.
Luque (22-9 mixed martial arts) most recently competed last August, scoring a unanimous decision victory over Rafael dos Anjos. The win ended a two-fight losing streak for “The Silent Assassin,” who had previously lost to Belal Muhammad and Jeff Neal.
Meanwhile, Joaquin Buckley (17-6 MMA) enters tonight's co-headliner on a two-fight winning streak, his most recent being a unanimous decision win over Alex Morono in October of this year. “New Mantha” has an overall record of 3-2 in his past five Octagon appearances.
Tonight's main card at UFC Atlantic City will also feature the return of former middleweight champion Chris Weidman, who will take on Bruno Silva.
Weidman (15-7 MMA) will look to snap a two-fight losing streak in the Octagon tonight. “The All-American” was at his best at UFC 292 last August, when he lost a decision to Brad Tavares. Before that, the 39-year-old had broken his leg in a match against Urijah Hall at UFC 261.
Meanwhile, Bruno Silva (23-10 MMA) will also be looking to get back in the win column tonight in New Jersey. 'Armored' has won against opponents Brendan Allen and Sharavdin Magomedov, despite losing zero.
