The 13-man U.S. men's Olympic water polo team was announced Tuesday, with the team seeking its first medal since 2008.
Alex Bowen, who led the team with 21 goals at the 2022 World Championships, captain Ben Hallock, Alex Aubert and Luca Cupido will all be playing in their third Olympics.

Making their Olympic debuts will be brothers Chase Dodd and Ryder Dodd, as well as goaltender Adrian Weinberg, who will start in the U.S. playoff game at the 2024 world championships in February.

At 18 years old, Ryder Dodd will be the youngest U.S. men's Olympic water polo player since 1964, according to OlyMADMen.
At the Tokyo Olympics, the United States lost in the quarterfinals to Spain. The last time the United States won an Olympic medal in men's water polo was in 2008 (silver medal).
The United States placed ninth at the most recent world championships in February. The last time the country reached the semifinals at the world championships was in 2009.
