In a statement Friday afternoon, Most Valuable Promotions said the bout had been postponed in light of Tyson's ulcer recurrence, which sparked a media outrage on Memorial Day.
“Following follow-up consultations with medical professionals on Thursday regarding a recent ulcer recurrence, Mike Tyson has been advised to engage in minimal to light training over the next few weeks before returning to full training without restrictions,” the statement read.

Paul and Tyson acknowledged this is just a bump in the road. The game will still be played at AT&T Stadium, home of the NFL's Dallas Cowboys, and will be streamed exclusively on Netflix and available worldwide.
A new date has yet to be announced. It will be Paul's first ring appearance since December of last year, while Tyson hasn't fought since November 2020. For now, only time will tell how the bout moves forward and if there will be any changes to the circumstances surrounding the fight.
