Tyson Fury deserved to win his first fight against Oleksandr Usyk, promoter Bob Arum insists, but will make changes for the December rematch.
Fury suffered the first defeat of his professional career last month in a world heavyweight championship bout against the unbeaten Usyk.
They are scheduled to box for the second time on December 21st.
Bob Arum of Top Rank, who promotes the British fighter, is hoping for something different in the Fury rematch.
“I think there will be some change, but it's up to Tyson and Sugar Hill.” [Steward] “He's a trainer I have a lot of respect for and a protégé of the great Emmanuel Steward,” Arum told Sky Sports.
“We expect some changes, but we don't know what they will be or how significant they will be.”
Arum believes that will be enough for Fury to win the second bout.
“I felt like we were all here. [at Top Rank] “I was in Riyadh and it felt like it was going to be a very close fight,” Alam said.
“I've known Usyk since he turned professional, I know what a talented and determined fighter he is and I've followed his career because he's a good friend of mine. [Vasiliy] Lomachenko and those guys were always together.”
But he believes Fury deserved to win the first bout by decision.
“It was a close fight and I thought he won, but the result could have gone the other way,” Arum explained.
“But Fury goes into training and has to fight 12 rounds. I thought the first half of the fight was a no-go. It's all Fury's doing.”
“Then Usyk came on in the eighth round and won rounds eight through 11, and then Tyson came back and won in the 12th round.
“If Tyson trains well and fights a meaningful 12 rounds, he should be able to beat Usyk.”
