ATHENS, Ga. — Two University of Georgia football players were arrested earlier this week on driving-related charges.
Athens-Clarke County Jail records show redshirt freshman offensive lineman Jonathan “Bo” Hughley and senior linebacker Smael Mondon were arrested Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively.

Each spent just an hour and a half in jail and was released on $26 bail.
According to jail records, Hughley was arrested by Georgia State Police and charged with reckless driving and failure to maintain lane, while Mondon was arrested by Athens-Clarke County Police and charged with reckless driving and racing.
According to Georgia State Police arrest records, Hughley's arrest stemmed from the investigation of a single-vehicle crash.

Details about what led to the arrest are limited.
Since the fatal accident in January 2023 that killed University of Georgia football player Devin Willock and staff member Chandler LeCroy, several other football players have been arrested on driving-related charges.
