Two Ohio natives will represent the United States in women's rowing at the 2024 Paris Olympics. US Rowing has announced the first 21 athletes who will represent the country at this summer's Olympics. The players include Molly Brueggeman from Ohio State. Dayton and Nina Castagna of Cincinnati; Brugeman was born and raised in Dayton and went on to attend the University of Notre Dame before taking a job as the rowing coach at the University of Minnesota. Bruggeman, who will compete in the women's four-a-side event, is one of six Olympic veterans on the team. Castagna is from Cincinnati and will compete in the women's eight. She graduated from Walnut Hills and began rowing during her freshman year of high school before attending the University of Washington. The rowing section of the 2024 Paris Olympics will be held from July 27th to August 4th.
