This year's edition of Turkey's largest technology and aviation festival, Technofest, is set to take place from October 2-6 in the Mediterranean city of Adana, organizers said on Tuesday.
The event is organized by the T3 Foundation and the Ministry of Industry and Technology and will be held at Adana Sakirpasa Airport.
“Technofest season is almost here! The whole family will be gathering in Adana from October 2-6! Make sure you make your plans,” said Selçuk Bayraktar, chairman of the T3 board of directors and chairman of the Technofest board of directors, in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
This year's Techno Fest competition will have 46 main categories and 117 subcategories, and is expected to attract around 1.6 million participants, according to organizers.
The event will award a total of 30 million Turkish lira ($930,000) in prize money to winners.
Since its inception in 2018, Technofest has been held in various Turkish cities outside Istanbul in even-numbered years and in major cities in odd-numbered years.
To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Turkey, events were held last year in three locations: Istanbul, the capital Ankara, and the Aegean resort city of Izmir.
