“We wanted to be located in the heart of one of the nation's leading innovation districts,” she said in a written statement. “It's a vibrant community with residents including Georgia Tech and other prestigious schools, startups and established technology companies. This distance is critical for us as we continue to grow our talented team and strengthen our digital capabilities. Proximity is important.”
Founded in 1853, Travelers has grown to more than 30,000 employees and generated revenues of approximately $41 billion in 2023. The company employs approximately 700 people in Georgia at its Alpharetta field office and Norcross data center.
Travelers plans to hire 40 technicians to work at the Coda office, which the company is calling Travelers Tech – Atlanta.
“These efforts will help drive value across the organization as we continue our digital transformation efforts, strengthen our claims processes, and deliver great experiences for our customers, agents, brokers, and employees.” Lefebvre said.

Tech Square is credited with revitalizing an underused area of Midtown and enhancing Atlanta's tech prestige. His Coda building, developed by Atlanta-based Portman Holdings, houses several incubators and offices for companies including Cisco. Several large companies, including Anthem and Norfolk Southern, rushed to open adjacent office complexes.
The institute and Portman are preparing to develop the district's third phase, which will include two new towers totaling more than 400,000 square feet. These will be the new home of Georgia Tech's Ernest Scherrer Jr. College of Business and his H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial Systems Engineering.
“Since its inception, Tech Square has been a boon to Midtown Atlanta,” Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens said at a groundbreaking ceremony for Phase 3 of Tech Square in October 2022. “The neighborhoods within this district have helped put Atlanta on the map in the tech world.”
