Portland Trail Blazers guard Dalano Banton had an afternoon to forget Sunday. He made unwanted history in the team's lopsided loss to the Sacramento Kings in the final game of the regular season.
Bunton was ice cold with his 3-point shooting on Sunday — historically so, going an abysmal 0-of-15 from beyond the arc. No player in NBA history has attempted so many threes without making one in a game.
To make matters worse, Banton was ejected in the fourth quarter, ending a historically disastrous night for the 24-year-old.
Banton finished the game with 17 points on 6-of-26 shooting (including a historic 0-of-15 shot from deep) and added seven assists and three rebounds. He had a plus-minus of 38 in a game that Portland lost 121-82.
Banton has been shooting extremely well over the last two games, taking a total of 52 shots in that span. He made just 15 field goals and was 2-of-25 from 3-point range, but couldn't find his shooting touch from outside.
The Trail Blazers ended the season on a five-game losing streak and lost 15 of their last 17 games, finishing the season at 21-61.
