It's that time of year when talk season is underway, preseason magazines are on the shelves and the top college football players are taking official visits and nearing their admissions decisions.
Just over half of the highest-ranked recruits in the class of 2025 have already made their decisions, including 15 five-star players listed on the National Prospect Big Board.
So there's still a lot of action to be expected in the 2025 election cycle, with promising candidates needing to make big decisions before a flurry of campaign announcements over the coming months.
At the top of that big board is unanimous No. 1 overall prospect and top-ranked quarterback Bryce Underwood, who remains committed to LSU.
No. 2 quarterback Julian Lewis remains at USC but plans to visit other schools, while the top five signal callers include Tavian St. Clair, George McIntyre and Matt Zollars, who are committed to Ohio State, Tennessee and Missouri, respectively.
Let’s look around the country and see what the major recruiting services are predicting about where the best unsigned players in 2025 are likely to end up.
David Sanders Jr. The No. 1-ranked offensive tackle and No. 2 overall prospect is leaning to Tennessee at 28.8 percent according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, while 247Sports Crystal Ball has one prediction favoring Clemson.
Kalik Rocket. According to the latest RPM projections, the No. 3 wide receiver and No. 18 overall player is projected with a 76.7% chance of signing with Texas.
Daccorine Moore. The top-ranked wide receiver and No. 3 overall player is projected to select Texas 89.4 percent of the time by On3 RPM, Rivals and the 247Sports Crystal Ball.
Justus Terry. The five-star defensive lineman, who decommited out of USC, is flown to Georgia and has huge odds of 96.8% with two picks on RPM, Rivals and 247Sports.
Elijah Griffin. The No. 4 recruit and No. 1 defensive lineman appears committed to eventually committing to Georgia, as major recruiting services have named the Bulldogs the favorite to sign the Savannah, Ga., native.
Trey McNutt. Ranked as the No. 2 safety and No. 22 player in the nation, the Cleveland native is leaning 68.8% to Oregon State on On3, but Rivals favors Ohio State.
DJ Pickett. While there are no crystal ball predictions for the No. 2 cornerback and No. 6 overall prospect, RPM has LSU backed with 27.9% odds, followed by Miami (14.6%) and Georgia (10.6%).
Ty Heywood. Haywood, ranked as the No. 2 offensive lineman and No. 9 overall recruit, is seen as a favorite by RPM at 77.2 percent over Alabama and 18.9 percent over Oklahoma.
Jonah Williams. Texas A&M and Oklahoma are in the race to acquire athletes on all fronts, but on average they emerge as the No. 12 overall prospects.
