Thursday's (March 28) event featured thrilling competition from start to finish.

In the first round, Shackleford landed a clean shot and dropped McCollough with a right to the body, quickly establishing himself as the superior fighter. McCollough got to his feet before the count, but was quickly put back on the canvas and hit with his right hand to the head. At 1:28 of the first round, the referee stopped the fight.
After the match, Shackleford said he was happy with his performance in front of his home crowd.
“I thought it was a good performance,” Shackleford said. “I was able to do what coach asked me to do. I did well and quickly and stuck to the game plan. It feels really good. My people came out, especially when they showed up on Thursday. I am very honored and grateful to have been chosen.”
The next bout will feature a 10-round battle between IBF super middleweight No. 2 contender Vladimir Shishkin (15-0, 9 KOs) versus formidable challenger Mike Guy (currently 12-8-1, 5 KOs). I was disappointed. The opening match was broadcast on DAZN.
Shishkin started the match patiently, strategically applying pressure and firing shots from long range against the shorter Guy. Shishkin methodically cornered Guy through the first three rounds.

In an eight-round super middleweight bout, William Townsell (currently 7-1, 5 KOs) of Portsmouth, Virginia, defeated Lebanese's first professional boxer, Nadim Salloum (currently 12-2, 6 KOs) of Brooklyn, New York. He managed to upset his opponent. KO).

In the opening round, Al Mashadi displayed lightning hand speed. He hurt his opponent with his right hand and dropped him with a flurry of punches. Prescott was seriously injured and the referee stopped the fight at 1:47 of the first round. The crowd erupted as Al Mashadi celebrated his victory.
After the match, Al Mashadi said that he was satisfied with his performance, but that bigger and better matches will happen in the future.
“I feel like I was a little bit more patient. I chose my shots better than in any other match and it worked out really well in the end,” Al Mashadi said. “We're chasing greatness. The more we get, the more we get him 10 times what we just saw.”

A night of knockouts continued in the 10-round light heavyweight main event featuring 2016 Colombian Olympian Juan Carrillo vs. Virginia's Quinton Rankin.
Carrillo started the fight as the aggressor, with Rankin jabbing and circling. Rankin seemed hesitant and was unable to mount much of an attack against Carrillo, who is taller, stronger and faster.
In the third round, Carrillo dropped Rankin with two uppercuts. Rankin stumbled to his feet, but the referee stopped the fight 27 seconds into the third round.
Carrillo's performance further propelled him up the light heavyweight division and provided a thrilling end to an already action-packed night of boxing.
“It was a great night of boxing in Detroit, showcasing the best talent in boxing in the most exciting division,” said Dmitry Sarita, president of Sarita Promotions. “Shishkin is on the verge of a world title shot, Shozakhon Ergashev is back in the title picture, and Carrillo has shown he is a force to be reckoned with in the light heavyweight division.”
