If you've been following Aaron Gregory's recruiting lately, you know that last week he released his top 20 and included the Yellow Jackets in it. All YellowJackets caught up with the top-ranked wide receiver to get his thoughts on the possibility of staying in his hometown.
“If you have the right opportunity and you're a homeschool like Georgia Tech, I don't have a problem with staying home. I think there's a chance you could stay home.”
“Coach Key has reached out to me a few times and Coach Dre has had to as well.
“I think Tech is really growing and doing well and I think it's going to continue to grow because it's a really good program football-wise.”
Adding a talented receiver like Aaron Gregory to Tech would be a great addition to a Tech team that continues to make its mark on the college football world. Last year as a sophomore, Gregory threw for a team-high 795 yards and eight touchdowns in 10 games. The wide receiver garnered national attention as a freshman and was named MVP at the top two recruiting camps, Rivals and On3, and quickly became the school's recruiting committee's top target for the year.
This will be an interesting season for Aaron to say the least, as he will be joining an elite group of wide receivers that includes No. 3 receiver Devin Carter and three-star James Johnson. The trio of returnees combined for over 2,000 yards through the air last season. The trio of receivers will be catching passes from three-star quarterback DJ Bordeaux, who also has an offer from Georgia Tech.
