Over the years, Michigan State basketball has produced elite talent. Some of that elite talent has gone on to the NBA and achieved much success.
Although the Spartans aren't on par with Kentucky, Duke or North Carolina in terms of producing NBA stars, they still produce a number of players who have made their mark in the league. Hey, his one of the best NBA players of all time is a Spartan.
So without further ado, let's take a look at the Spartans' top 10 NBA career prospects.
Morris Peterson: So we have several players in this honorable mention section, led by Morris Peterson. The former national champion had an 11-year NBA career, averaging 11.7 points and 3.5 rebounds per game. During that time he played for three teams.
Gary Harris: A lot of people would probably put Gary Harris in the top 10 on this list, but that's about how good the rest of the players are. Harris probably should have had a better career in the NBA, but after a hot start with the Nuggets, he's slowed down a bit in recent years. He's still playing, but has played in nine seasons so far, averaging 11.1 points over his career.
Eric Snow: He was one of the most underrated Spartans to ever make it to the NBA and had an impressive 14-year career. You don't have to be a really good player to play in the league that long, and Snow was a hell of a point guard, averaging 5.0 assists in 846 games.
Johnny Green: Granted, I didn't live to see Johnny Green play, but he almost made this list because his 14-year NBA career is no joke. He averaged 11.6 points and 8.6 rebounds for six teams during his career and was one of the league's best players in the 1960s.
