Arizona's big recruiting push on Sunday attracted four commitments, capped off by a three-star cornerback pledge. Swade Griffinhad previously committed to attending Texas Tech University.
The 6-foot-1, 185-pound Griffin is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 1,214 player in the 2025 recruiting class, the 106th best cornerback in the country and the 192nd best prospect coming out of Texas. He committed to Texas Tech on June 10, over offers from Arizona, Arizona State and Minnesota.
Griffin, a native of Lago Vista just outside Austin, is the reigning Texas Class 4A champion in the 110-meter hurdles and one of several UA-bound students in the 2025 class with track and field experience.
Griffin is the third player Arizona has signed for 2025, along with a three-star in-state cornerback. Dajon Hinton (From ASU) 3-star quarterback Robert McDaniel (Calif.) He's the fourth defensive back in this class and the fifth from Texas, the most from the state the Wildcats have signed since signing six players in 2021.
