Welcome to Midnight Mania!
One of the biggest, and certainly most surprising, stories coming out of UFC 303 fight week was black magic.
“The Czech Samurai” Jiri Prochazka will face off for the second time against two-time UFC champion and hard-hitting kickboxer Alex Pereira. Their first bout last year saw “Poitan” win by second-round knockout in somewhat controversial fashion, but no one is expecting a rematch. It's almost certain to be a spectacular fight, a brutal stoppage, or both.
But there is a special reason why Prochazka is not satisfied with the first fight. According to a bizarre rant by “BJP”, Pereira is using shamanic magic to win bouts, which is bad manners. Prochazka demanded that Pereira stop doing that and fight on more honest terms, but the champion rejected his request.
So what does UFC CEO Dana White think about all this talk of black magic, shamans and witchcraft? Surprisingly, he likes it. White thinks this unexpected turn of events is a great testament to the authenticity of Prochaska and Pereira.
That's not some silly WWE storyline.
“But I love that story. When Jiri found out about the fight, he apparently locked himself in a shed for three days. No water, no food, nothing,” White explained (via Curtis Calhoun ). “Praying, meditating, whatever. Coach knocked on his door and said there was this fight and he was like, 'If this is what the universe wants,' so that's the kind of guy he is!”
“So you see him doing his shaman thing… magic, black magic, and that's one of the reasons this match is so awesome. This is the real deal, this isn't some bullshit that someone made up when they wanted to do some kind of gimmick wrestling thing. This is who these two guys really are, this is why people really love them.” [the UFC]”… You can tell if someone is real, not through some crappy wrestling nonsense.”

Peyton Talbot had some pretty specific advice for his opponents.
It's not the safest career path, but Jessica Andrade deserves some serious respect for regularly jumping up to 125 pounds and challenging some of the division's most promising up-and-comers.
A highly rumored fight between Kevin Holland and Jared Cannonier is unlikely to happen.
I spoke to Jared Cannonier over text and he said the Kevin Holland fight #UFCDenver That did not happen as reported. Cannonier was medically suspended for 45 days after UFC Louisville.

Justifying Dustin Poirier's stupid actions?
Dan Hooker acknowledges that he was out when Dustin put him in the guillotine.
“He perfected the guillotine and nobody noticed it.”

Some people are upset about this clip because it shows that the feud between Ian Garry and Michael Page isn't that serious, which to me has always been a sad reason to care about the matchup.
Slip, Lip, KO Clip
Here's how to punish an opponent who tries to circle off. A great example of cutting off the cage instead of following.
He's a tall, lanky fighter, so naked shots from long range rarely work.
Murilo Rua was always expected to deliver.
