On Sunday, April 7th, the IDOL Kun Khmer event was broadcast live from Cambodia's Wonder Kingdom on BAYON TV.
For the first time in history, three ISKA Asian Champion title matches were held under the Khmer Rule, with Boon Sothea and Sen Chanritikul representing Cambodia.
- ISKA Asian Middleweight Title Match 75kg – Sen Chanrisikun vs Sinan Kagara
- ISKA Asia L/Welterweight Title 65kg – Ali Asghar vs Pongsawan JR
- ISKA Asian Featherweight Title Match 57kg – Bun Sothea vs Umar Red Wolves
The main event for the ISKA Asian middleweight title in the 75kg category pitted Brazilian-born Thiago Teixeira, who goes by the Khmer name Sen Chanritikul and has represented his home country and Cambodia. His opponent was hard-hitting Turkish star Sinan Kagara, who had previously fought in the KKIF promotion.
The outdoor Khun Khmer event, sponsored by Ganzberg Beer, was held at Ngoung Pich Pagoda in Kombol, Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
There will be both a Cambodian commentary team and an English team consisting of the infamous John Nutt of Fight Circus and Full Metal Dojo fame and Muay Thai fighter Rafael Angobard.
Thiago Teixeira and Sinan Cagala battle for ISKA Kun Khmer title
In the headliner match, Thiago Teixeira, returning to the ring for the first time in a year due to injury, fought Sinan Cagala in a close three-round battle.
Both fighters unleashed fierce kicks and elbow strikes, but in the end, Thiago won by decision with an impressive performance.
