Ohio State and Alabama have the most players in the top 100. The Buckeyes have a game-high nine and the Crimson Tide boast six. Interestingly, the Georgia Bulldogs, the unanimous No. 1 in the game, also have six players.
Gordon II leads the position with the most players, with 14 running backs in the top 100. The 2025 NFL Draft will likely be big for running backs, meaning there are at least a few undrafted players at the position who have a good chance of making an impact at the next level.
Nine quarterbacks are ranked in the top 100. Colorado Buffaloes star and Bulldogs playmaker Shedul Sanders leads the way at 93rd overall.
The list is interesting, as has become the norm in EA College Football 25, but it leaves some important unanswered questions.
Will player ratings be updated throughout the season?
The page on EA's website is structured like each year's Madden player rating screen, but there's no way to filter for future weeks.
So does that mean the ratings won't change every week, or will they be added post-launch? If updating college player ratings is part of the plan, that would be a big ask for someone on EA's side.
We'll find out soon if the game will include it. EA College Football 25 will be released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on July 19. Customers who pre-order the game on July 16 will receive early access.
