All FBS teams, many top players, and just like the Heisman Trophy, all bowl games are “in the game.”
All FBS bowl games will be included in EA Sports' “College Football 25.” The Athletic reported. Several bowlers have announced they will be attending Monday's game, with the Cotton Bowl and Scooter's Frisco Bowl also sharing on social media that they will be attending the game as well.
Shortly after it was announced that EA Sports would be releasing College Football 25 this summer, it was shared that the College Football Playoff would also be included in the game. The College Football Playoff will move to a 12-team format in 2024 as the CFP increases the postseason tournament from four teams to 12 teams.
The Cotton Bowl remains part of the CFP rotation. With the expansion of the field, the Cotton Bowl is one of six bowl games held on a rotation of quarterfinal and semifinal games, with a potential matchup held once every three seasons. The Cotton Bowl and Orange Bowl will host semifinal games in 2024. The Rose Bowl, Sugar Bowl, Fiesta Bowl, and Peach Bowl are his other four bowl games that are part of the CFP rotation.
The first round of the 12-team CFP will be played at the home site of the higher seed.
Some bowl gamers have been teasing upcoming video games on social media in recent weeks. The PopTarts bowl, which became popular among college football fans in 2023 as an edible mascot, joked that it should be on the cover of “College Football 25.”
For fans of FBS schools, there are many elements of real life in “College Football 25.” All 134 FBS schools have agreed to participate in the games, and more than 10,000 players from those programs have already agreed to name, image, and likeness (NIL) agreements that allow EA Sports to use their likenesses. There is.
Many of the best players in sports are in that group, but Texans' Arch Manning is not, and he reportedly turned down a $600 offer from EA Sports. Manning is the most notable player who reportedly turned down an offer to loan his portrait.
In early March, the Heisman Trust announced it had agreed to use the Heisman Trophy on “College Football 25.” However, the National College Football Awards Association, which administers the other major college football awards, rejected the offer to allow the award to be featured at the game.
EA Sports is expected to announce details for “College Football 25” in May ahead of its release sometime in July.
