Sentell's Intel representative said: Georgia football recruiting DawgNation has been able to confirm a breakdown of the names who will be in Athens this weekend for the annual treasure hunt that evolved into a weekend of big state visits.
it is [May] Georgia football's recruiting tradition is unparalleled.
But suddenly it turned into something bigger than anything we had seen before.
The state of Georgia is set to welcome its largest ever official visitors during the annual treasure hunt weekend in May.
DawgNation was able to confirm the names of the four official visitors scheduled for this weekend.
The annual UGA campus-sponsored treasure hunt features photos of past living snakes (and subsequent obscure NCAA rule changes), and sometimes offers prizes like stolen golf cart keys or a selfie quest to win the treasure hunt. There has been fierce competition. .
But now another major 5-star visitor has been added to the guest list.
Five-star OT David Sanders Jr. will be in Athens for the first time since his spring practice visit to check out the Bulldogs. DawgNation was able to confirm the news of the unofficial visit with a family member earlier tonight, but he was the first to learn of the news from On3.com's Steve Wiltfong.
Each of Sanders' recent visits has been a big one.
DawgNation ranks Charlotte's 5-star player No. 1 among “Top Targets” on its weekly “Before the Hedges” top prospects list since the 2025 list was released in November 2023 I've attached it.
Sanders is currently ranked as the No. 1 OT prospect in the nation and the No. 2 overall recruiting prospect for the 2025 cycle on the 247Sports Composite scale and On3's “Industry Ranking” metric.
The Providence Day star isn't the only five-star in attendance over the weekend. 2026 five-star QB commit Jared Curtis is expected to come over from Nashville for the fun.
The expected guest list also includes 5-star LB Zyden Walker, 5-star S Trey McNutt and key flip target Isaiah Gibson from Warner Robins' 4-star EDGE. Gibson is currently committed to USC.
As a reminder, other major visits over the weekend will have a 48-hour official visiting time with the outlook below.
- 4-star RB Beau Jackson
- 4-star WR Marcus Harris
- 4-star WR Phillip Bell
- 4-star office worker Jiyare Addison

The scavenger hunt weekend was a big topic for DawgNation's weekly Wednesday night livestream recruiting program, among other important topics.
Several more names will undoubtedly be added to this initial list. A big name in 2026 should join Curtis this weekend to start building that class.
As always, these plans are subject to change.
DawgNation will continue to update this list as RSVPs are announced for the week.
