Boxing is a sport that is heavily influenced by family dynamics. While it's not uncommon for athletes in other sports to get their children to participate in those sports, boxing is a little different. There are countless boxing families throughout the sport's long history.

Ten The Charlo brothers could move higher on this list in the future.
Jermell and Jermall are both big stars.

The Charlo brothers could move higher on this list depending on their results, but Jermell and Jermall already have impressive resumes: “The Hitman” currently holds a 33-0 professional record and has won world titles in two different weight classes.
Meanwhile, “Iron Man” has a record of 35 wins, 2 losses and 1 draw and is a former undisputed junior middleweight champion who has shared the ring with the great Canelo Alvarez. Both brothers are in the prime of their careers, so it will be exciting to watch them continue to grow inside the boxing ring.

The Fury Family is one of the families on this list that is still active today. Led by former boxers “Big” John Fury and Peter Fury, the family has several boxers who are still active today, the most successful of which is former heavyweight champion and star Tyson Fury.
But there's more to this family than just “The Gypsy King.” His brother Tommy Fury is currently making a name for himself in the light heavyweight division, Hughie Fury is a heavyweight contender in his own right, and finally, a young Roman Fury also holds an unbeaten record.
8 The Eubanks are a legendary British boxing family.

7 The Smith Brothers are incredibly underrated
Many members of this legendary family have won gold medals.

29 wins, 2 losses |
38 wins, 7 losses |
28 wins, 4 losses |
Ultimately, none of the Smith brothers will be considered the greatest of all time. Still, it's pretty impressive that nearly every member of the family has won gold in some capacity. Perhaps the most successful of the brothers is Callum, a former super middleweight champion and current light heavyweight contender.
There is also Liam Smith who held the gold medal at light middleweight for a time. Finally, Paul Smith and Steven Smith have not only won regional titles but have also challenged for gold medals themselves.
6 The Ali family includes arguably the greatest male and female boxers of all time.
Muhammad Ali and Laria Ali retired undefeated

Many families have multiple successful boxers, but the Ali family is a little different. Although there are only a few notable boxers in the family, they are arguably some of the greatest boxers of all time. It goes without saying that Muhammad Ali is one of the greatest boxers of all time, hence the nickname “The Greatest.” His brother, Rahman, also boxed at one time.

Muhammad Ali was a superstar boxer who earned millions of dollars in prize money during his historic career.
Muhammad Ali's daughter, Lalia Ali, also retired undefeated with a 24-0 record and multiple titles, and currently Muhammad Ali's grandson, Nico Ali Walsh, is also making a name for himself at middleweight.
Five The Spinks family isn't talked about much today.
Michael, Leon and Corey became world champions

For some reason, the Spinks family is often overlooked in this discussion. Clearly, the crown jewel of the clan is former two-division champion Michael Spinks. “The Jinx” dominated the light heavyweight division and also won heavyweight gold before retiring in 1988 after a knockout loss to Mike Tyson.
His brother, Leon Spinks, also won heavyweight gold by defeating Muhammad Ali in 1978. However, he later lost a rematch to “The Greatest” and struggled in his career after that. His son, Corey Spinks, also later became world champion in two different weight classes.
Four The Marquez brothers were incredibly fun action fighters.
Juan and Rafael won numerous world titles
Juan Manuel Marquez |
Rafael Marquez |
---|---|
5'7″ |
5'5″ |
140 pounds |
122 pounds |
56-7-1 record |
41 wins, 9 losses |
Juan Manuel Marquez is considered one of the most exciting boxers of the 2000s and 2010s, and for good reason: “Dynamite” has won gold medals in three different weight classes and is also known for his famous rivalry with Manny Pacquiao.
But his younger brother Rafael was no slouch: Though he never quite had the star power of his older brother, the Mexican boxer still managed to win gold medals in two different weight classes during his illustrious career.
3 The Klitschko brothers are heavyweight greats
Vladimir and Vitali dominated the division for many years.
Wladimir Klitschko |
Vitali Klitschko |
---|---|
6'6″ |
6'7″ |
240 pounds |
243 pounds |
64 wins, 5 losses |
45 wins, 2 losses |
The Klitschko brothers dominated the heavyweight division for many years, so it's no surprise to see them on this list. Most families have one fighter who stands out more than the rest, but not this one. An argument can be made that Wladimir is better than Vitali and vice versa.
“Dr. Iron Fist” was the more aggressive of the two and arguably the harder puncher, while “Dr. Steelhammer” had the better resume, more wins and was the more competent defensively. Regardless of who fans feel was better, it's clear that the Klitschkos are a great boxing family.
2 The Garcia family has won many world titles in the country.
Robert and Mikey were trained by their father, Eduardo.

Eduardo Garcia was an amateur boxer with a record of 48 wins and 2 losses, but decided not to pursue the sport professionally. Instead, he became a coach and later mentored his two sons, Robert and Mikey, who would go on to become champions in their own weight classes.
His older brother, Robert, won gold at junior lightweight and faced the likes of Diego Corrales – Robert would later become a renowned trainer himself – while his younger brother, Mikey, became a legend, winning gold medals in four different weight classes over his career and defeating big names like Adrien Broner along the way.

It's no wonder Floyd Mayweather became one of the greatest boxers of all time. “Money” was in the boxing gym from the moment he could walk, raised and trained by his father and uncles. But while Mayweather is one of the greatest boxers of all time, the rest of his family wasn't bad either.
Floyd Mayweather Sr. was a welterweight fighter in the 80's who also fought against Sugar Ray Leonard. Jeff Mayweather was also a great fighter who won an IBO super featherweight gold medal during his illustrious career. Finally, there is the great Roger Mayweather. Known as the best trainer in the family, “The Black Mamba” won gold medals in two weight classes.
