Douglas Utu, the No. 2 interior offensive lineman in the 2025 class, has committed to Tennessee football.
This is a big win for a Vols offensive line that will have to retool after the 2024 season.
“I am proud to dedicate my skills and talents to the University of Tennessee!” Utu posted on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday.
“You can't spell UTU without UT! Good luck Vols!”
Utu is 6-foot-4, weighs 317 pounds and is a four-star prospect out of Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas.
After visiting Texas over the weekend, he chose Tennessee over Alabama, Michigan, Washington and Nebraska, as well as most of the powerhouse programs in college football.
Utu is ranked as the No. 2 interior offensive lineman and the No. 67 player overall in the 2025 class, according to the 247Sports Composite.
He can sign on Dec. 4, when the early signing period begins.
Utu is UT's 14th commitment in the 2025 class and its second-highest rated.
He joins five-star quarterback George McIntyre, four-star defensive lineman Ethan Utley, four-star wide receiver LaDarius Jackson, four-star tight end Jack Van Dresselaar, four-star offensive lineman Nick Moore, four-star edge rusher Jaden Loftin, three-star running back Justin Baker, three-star safety Sydney Walton, three-star offensive tackle Anthony Cade Ogumoro, three-star cornerback Dylan Lewis, three-star defensive lineman Charles House, three-star Joakim Dodson and three-star cornerback Tyler Redmond.
