Tenjutsu is a jiu-jitsu inspired action roguelike from Sébastien Benard, lead designer on Dead Cells and solo developer at Deepnight Games, scheduled for release on consoles and PC in the future. Announced during today's Devolver Digital presentation, Tenjutsu is the full version of Deepnight's 2022 release Tenjutsu (48 Hours Version).
Devolver describes the game as “fast and fluid rogue jutsu,” leaning into the game's jiu-jitsu roguelike action. In it, players take control of a renegade Yakuza who “has rebelled against his former allies and is hell-bent on weakening their grip on Secret Garden City.” To do so, they must take on four powerful crime syndicates. To defeat them, players must “master a brutal brawl system, build a diverse arsenal of weapons, upgrades, and martial arts, and shatter their grip on the city in a storm of violence.”
Check out the trailer for “Tenjutsu” below:
You must defeat all four crime syndicates, but the order in which you do so is up to you. The more you defeat, the more control you have over Secret Garden City, allowing you to upgrade your districts and more to earn rewards. Doing so will unlock new weapons, combat moves and additional areas to explore. However, the more time you spend on this, the stronger your enemies will become.

A release date for Tenjutsu has yet to be announced, but it's expected to release for unannounced consoles and PC.
