What's the main reason to roll out to Morgantown on June 20? “Probably the biggest reason to attend Tech Yeah is the speakers,” says Cottle, president of Trilogy Innovations. “Going back to the time of the pandemic, it's been really difficult to reach out to some of the government officials and meet with them in person to understand their focus areas and priorities.”
“Tech Yeah has some incredible people who have contributed to this year's conference, including top officials from NIH, DHS, CISA, CMS, FBI, and the list goes on. We also have industry-changing leaders from academia to top technology companies,” Cottle said. “Not only will you get to hear from these people, you'll also get to talk to them and build relationships.”
“What we're trying to do is create opportunity, because without opportunity there's no competition,” he said. “It's all about networking. It doesn't matter if you're big or small. Every organization needs to find great small businesses that fit their requirements, and that's what this is all about.”
“It gives us the opportunity to get up close and personal with not just the decision makers but also with government officials, to get a deeper understanding of the actual roadmaps of different agencies,” said Downey, the Trilogy CEO.
“One of the things most people need to realize is that there are many major agencies within a few miles of the convention center,” Downey said, noting that the Morgantown area is home to the FBI, Department of Energy and Department of Defense, among other things.
“You get first-hand information about what these agencies are trying to accomplish in terms of technology,” he said. “For example, a big topic today is AI. How does AI impact cybersecurity? How does cybersecurity impact the policies that agencies are writing and implementing? You get first-hand information about where the agencies are actually trying to go.”
