Shakur Stevenson vs Artem Harutyunyan Prediction
Unbeaten WBC lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson will be looking to bounce back from a lackluster title run when he takes on hungry challenger Artem Harutyunyan in the main event.
The 27-year-old Stevenson was coming off a boring bout against Edwin de los Santos last November, with both counterpunchers unable to get much going. The New Jersey native is one of the sport's most exciting young fighters, but the bout was a disappointment.
We look forward to seeing Stevenson make his presence known in front of his home crowd and put in a rebounding performance. This talented southpaw has lightning speed, great defensive instincts and underrated power. His footwork and ability to close the gap quickly are impressive.
Meanwhile, challenger Artem Harutyunyan will be making his first attempt at a world title. The Armenian-born German gave it his all against Frank Martin last July but lost a controversial decision.
The aggressive Harutyunyan has a relentless pressing style and a good combination punch, but can be a bit overzealous in the pocket.
21-0 | record | 12-1 |

5'8″ (173 cm) | height | 5'7″ (170 cm) |
68 inches (173 cm) | arrival | N/A |
southpaw | stance | Orthodox |
To pull off a major upset, Harootunyan will need to shut down the ring effectively, attack the body and keep Stevenson from getting into a rhythm, but Stevenson's feet and reflexes are on another level, making this a tough matchup stylistically.
Harutyunyan is durable and likely won't go down quietly, but Stevenson's speed and skill advantage will likely be overwhelming, so look for “Fearless” to step up and take a unanimous decision victory in front of his fans.
Stevenson vs. Harutyunyan pick:
- Stevenson wins by decision (-120)

Oshaquie Foster vs Robson Conceição predictions
The semi-main event is an intriguing stylistic showdown between skilled counter puncher Oshaquie Foster and Brazilian volume puncher Robson Conceição.
Foster will defend his belt for the third time in February 2023. The 30-year-old Texan is a patient boxer who enjoys slowly wearing down his opponents with precise counterattacks. His only two losses came early in his career, and he has won 12 straight bouts.
Robson Conceição won a gold medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics but is yet to win his first professional world title. The 35-year-old Brazilian has plenty of experience and good technique, attacks opponents with a jab and has good footwork.
The key for Foster will be to keep his distance and use his four-inch reach advantage to land clean counterattacks. Conceição will need to apply good pressure with his jab and cover Foster with combinations.
22-2 | record | 18-2-1 (1 NC) |
12 | knock out | 9 |
5'9″ (175 cm) | height | 5'10” (178 cm) |
72 inches (183 cm) | arrival | 70.1 in (178 cm) |
Orthodox | stance | Orthodox |
This is a 50-50 fight that could go either way. I expect Conceição to ultimately rise to the challenge and win a close but clear decision to become world champion. His work rate and quality jab should make the difference on Saturday night.
