Kent, Ohio – The Kent State football team will welcome seven freshmen and two transfers for the 2024 season as the Golden Flashes seek their third Mid-American Conference Championship appearance in the past four years.
The new squad includes three forwards, three midfielders, two defenders and one goalkeeper.
“I’m really looking forward to having this group join our program,” head coach Rob Marinaro Said. “This is a great group of people who are successful on and off the field. We feel that this group is not only talented, but will be a great addition to the culture we are building.”
Jules Dolinsky Forward | Sparta, New Jersey
Dolinsky was a four-year varsity member at Sparta High School, where he totaled 72 goals and 34 assists, setting a school record with 178 career points. Dolinsky earned All-State Second Team honors and was named to the New Jersey Top 20 Players. After that, she was also a candidate for the 2023 High School All-American Game. Senior season. Dolinsky was also named the 2023 Spartan MVP. She played club soccer in her PDA, North Atlantic Conference, where she won three times, and in 2022 she advanced to the Elite 8 of the ECNL National Tournament.
Adi Cusick | Forward/Midfielder | Medina, Ohio
Cusick was a four-year starter and senior captain at Medina High School. During his senior campaign, Cusick led the Bees in goals scored en route to First Team All-Ohio, First Team All-Greater Cleveland Conference, First Team Greater Akron SSCA All-District, All-Central Region and All-Gazette. honor. Cusick played club ball for International SC and Cleveland Force SC, where he played four years as a player in the ODP regional pool. She was a member of the National Honors Society for all four years of her high school career, while also competing in track and field and gymnastics.
Katie Henaghan | Midfielder | Oakville, Ontario
Henaghan is a multi-sport standout at Ecole Secundere Catholic Sainte-Trinite, where she was named 2023 Soccer MVP, 2022 Volleyball and Cross Country MVP, and 2022 Athlete of the Year. It was. She led Les Roux to Halton League championships on the field in 2022 and 2023 and championships on the hardwood in 2023. Henaghan played club soccer at Burlington Force Academy, where he won the Ontario Cup in 2023. She is the 10th ranked player in FTF. Canada's Class of 2024. Allison Collins | Defender | Toronto, Ontario
Collins was the No. 8 player in the 2024 class, according to FTF Canada. She received an invitation to her FTF Top 60 camp and earned First XI team honors. Collins played club soccer with Genesis Football Academy and North Mississauga Soccer Club, earning FTF All-Star honors. At Father John Redmond Catholic Secondary School, she was named varsity MVP in both indoor and outdoor soccer and was named to the honor roll all four years. Collins also played basketball, softball, flag football and track and field for the Redhawks. She plans to major in exercise science at Kent State University.
Emma Klein | Goalkeeper | Vaughan, Ontario
Klein qualified for the 2023 Ontario team and was named team captain and team MVP. She was also selected to the FTF All-Star Team and was named FTF Toronto Combine Goalie MVP. Klein played club ball for Simcoe Rovers and stood out for Father Bressani, where he was named soccer MVP. She won awards in math and science while also participating in volleyball and basketball. Klein plans to study biology while attending Kent State University.
Eva Lukian | Midfielder | Vernon Hills, Illinois
Lukian played club ball for GLSA FC 1974 and won the USYS National Championship in 2022. She helped lead the club to her two Midwest Region championships and her 2021 Illinois State Cup championship. Lukian was selected for the Continental Tires ECNL RL selection match and she was drafted to the National League PRO's “Team She Players of the Event”. At Vernon Hills, Lukian led the Cougars in scoring the past two seasons and earned all-division honors after her senior season. She also played tennis and ran track in high school, where she set her school record in the 4x100m. Lukyan, who is a member of the National Honors Society and a four-year senior honors student, plans to study marketing and business at Kent State University.
Ali Weibel | Defender | Lebanon, Ohio
Weibel played in 73 games at Springboro High School, scoring six goals and adding nine assists from his last-line position. She was named All-Conference four times, All-District twice, All-Area twice and All-Ohio with the Panthers. Waibel played club soccer for Ohio Elite, where she was honored as ECNL Ohio Valley All-Conference for the 2022-23 season. She also played for Kings Hammer FC in her USL W. She plans to study Computer Science at Kent State University.
Thea Helen Oberhoff | Midfielder | Bremen, Germany
One of two transfers in this year's class, Oberhoff comes to Kent after spending one year at Daytona State and led the Falcons to a 14-2 record with two goals and one assist. German-born Oberhof has been appointed team captain of SV Werder Bremen's U15 and U17 teams. She led her team to the North German Championship in her 2017, 2019 and 2021 and was named Snow Cup MVP. Oberhoff participated in the U15 Germany national team course and competed in the One Nation Cup in Japan. She plans to study psychology at Kent State University.
Kate Till | Next | Götzingen, Luxembourg
Till spent the past three seasons at the University of Bridgeport, appearing in 60 games and starting 51 for the Purple Knights. In his college career, Till totaled 78 points with his 34 goals and 10 assists. Last season, she had 13 goals and four assists, ranking first and second on the team, respectively, and was named tournament MVP as she led the Knights to their second consecutive CACC Tournament title. Till also earned First Team All-CACC and All-CCA All-East Region honors during the 2023 campaign.She plans to study sports management while attending Kent State University
