Blair put the finishing touches on Tuesday to his seventh major victory of the season. They didn't let Plattsmouth play once and won 7-0. The result wasn't entirely unexpected, considering Blair's favorable rankings in MaxPreps' Nebraska football rankings (Nebraska is No. 4, Plattsmouth is No. 36).
Five different players scored, and Blair's offense hit Plattsmouth from everywhere. Caitlin O'Neill led a balanced group of strikers and scored two goals alone.
Waverly, on the other hand, couldn't get out of Thursday's tough situation and the team suffered a four-game losing streak. They lost 2-0 to Elkhorn. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Waverly couldn't quite close it out.
The win, Blair's fifth straight at home, improved their record to 9-0. As for Waverly, the loss lowered their record to 2 wins and 6 losses.
Blair won 3-0 in their last game against Waverley back in March, and everything went their way. Is another victory in store for Blair, or will Waverley turn the tables? We'll soon find out.
