ST. George — Anything can happen in the battle for soccer supremacy in Region 9.
On Friday night, Snow Canyon scored back-to-back goals in a home win over the Hurricanes.
Meanwhile, Dixie was knocked out at Desert Hills after the Thunder avenged an early-season loss and upset the Flyers.
With these results, Snow Canyon and Dixie are tied for first place in Region 9 at 8-2.
Crimson Cliffs (8-3) and Desert Hills (6-4) are both still in the hunt with a week of games left.
The Warriors and Flyers will face off in the final regular season game at Snow Canyon on May 3 at 7 p.m.
Statewide, the current 4A Rating Percentage Index (RPI) numbers do not include a single Region 9 team in the top five. Layton Christian Academy (11-1-0) is the No. 1 team in 4A.

The Warriors scored five goals in the first half and three more in the second half to earn the win on a windy Snow Canyon night.
Josh Jensen contributed to the victory with a hat trick in the first half.

The Crimson has one game left, with a key game at Washington Fields vs. Snow Canyon on Tuesday, April 30th at 7:30 p.m.
Desert Hills 3, Dixie 1
The Thunder forced the Flyers to ground out in the first half, scoring three markers and forcing Dixie to play catch up the rest of the way.
