MMA Fighting will be covering the Anderson Silva vs. Chael Sonnen fight card on Saturday night in Sao Paulo, Brazil, with live Silva vs. Sonnen results.
Be sure to check out our main event live blog for live round-by-round updates of the Silva vs. Sonnen bout when the main event kicks off at approximately 11:30 PM ET. This will be the third combat sports showdown between two former UFC stars. The bout will be an exhibition boxing match.
Silva, a UFC Hall of Famer and former UFC middleweight champion, will face longtime MMA rival Sonnen in a five-round exhibition boxing match on June 15 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Silva and Sonnen have famously faced off twice at UFC – “The Spider” defended his title with an iconic fifth-round submission at UFC 117 in 2010 and then defeated Sonnen again with a second-round knockout at UFC 148 in 2012. Silva vs. Sonnen 1 will be part of the UFC Hall of Fame's fight wing during International Fight Week leading up to UFC 303.
Silva, 49, is 3-2 as a professional boxer, defeating Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and Tito Ortiz since retiring from mixed martial arts in 2021. He most recently lost by decision to Jake Paul.
The 47-year-old Sonnen will be making his boxing debut.
